Marlaina Riegelsberger started dance at West Coast School of the Arts at age 9. Marlaina enrolled at Irvine Valley College, studying ballet, Lewinsky Technique, physical theater, and Gyrokinesis, mentored by department chair Marie de la Palme. While studying at Orange County High School of the Arts, Marlaina toured to Spain with LA choreographer Kai Hazelwood’s “inVISABLE”, a collaboration with Eva Sanchez Martz. A recent graduate of NYU Tisch School of the Arts, Marlaina has performed with the Scottish Ballet Youth Ensemble at The Joyce, as well as in works by Yin Yue, Christina Robson, and Merce Cunningham. Marlaina currently works as the Director’s Assistant of the Tisch Dance department’s Second Avenue Dance Company. A member of IADMS since 2015, Marlaina hopes to pursue dance in conjunction with her minor in Child and Adolescent Mental Heath Studies.
